Legal regulation of payment transactions

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of legal regulation of cashless payment transactions in the Czech Republic, as well as on European and international level. Furthermore, it focuses on the legal regime of payment accounts in the light of the amended Payment System Act No. 284/2009 Coll. that was adopted as a transposition of the Directive 2014/92/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the comparability of fees related to payment accounts, payment account switching and access to payment accounts with basic features. The aim of this thesis is to analyze and describe the current legal regime, including its critical evaluation and to outline the possible future development in the regulation of cashless payment transactions. The thesis is divided into three chapters. In the introduction, the author lays down the topic and the aim of the thesis and explains her motivation for writing a thesis from this area of law. The first chapter contains a theoretical introduction to the topic. The author explains what is a payment transaction, what forms can it take and who are the parties. New trends in systems for payments for digital content

This diploma thesis is focused on new trends in payment systems for digital content. In the introductory chapter are briefly described the current types of electronic payment systems. The next part of the thesis introduces a foreign research studies and compares their results with results of the questionnaire survey conducted within the frame of the thesis. The following chapters are devoted to Czech and foreign electronic payment systems, focusing on the sale of digital content, the general development of the Czech micropayment systems and comparison of functionalities of the payment systems in order to compose a summary of recommendations for selected individuals involved in the field of electronic commerce. Following parts of this thesis are focused on the identification of the main trends in charging for Czech and foreign media content and presentation of the results of the questionnaire survey. The core of the work is to identify the main problems of the development of electronic payment systems, the identification of new trends in the pricing of media content and the summary of recommendations for the selected entities in the area of electronic commerce according to the knowledge gained in the diploma thesis.

Cashless payment methods in e-shops and retail stores in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis brings description and evaluation of cashless payment methods used in eshops and retail stores in the Czech Republic. Particular methods are described and accompanied by graphic interpretation of the method. The aim of this thesis is to create a complete overview on this field. Thesis also focuses on the identification and description of the innovative trends in payments and check out process. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on definition of bank payment, cashless payment methods available in eshops and retail stores in the Czech Republic. This part also contains its evaluation from the view of retailer and its customer. The practical part is dedicated to determination and hands-on review of current trends in the field of customer check out during the payment process. This part also includes questionnaire survey that discovers opinions on selected payment methods.

This bachelor's thesis deals with client attitudes to charges at a representative sample of banks. On the basis of a detailed analysis and comparison of materials from the chosen banks it identifies which of the banks offers the most profitable conditions for keeping a current account and the charges involved from the view of an average household. First of all the evaluation criteria are established, such as the characteristics of a model household and the functions it demands from a current account. Following this the selection of a group of banks is made for analysis. On the basis of the comparison of analysed banks it turned out that clients are not only interested in the amount of money paid in charges monthly for the keeping a current account, but they also think about the utility of services connected to this ac-count. In the final part of the thesis all gathered conclusions are compared and a recommendation for a model household is offered.
SEPA and its implementation

The bachelor thesis describes the European cross-border integration, with emphasing on non-cash transactions and SEPA. It defines the basic characteristics and goals of SEPA, its organizational structure, provisions in the form of PSD, the basic objectives and the sectors involved in the operation of this project. Further on the thesis analyzes the progress of the project, its historical development up to the present time, discusses the actual payment instruments in detail, describes the migration phases and the actual course of the implementation of project in the Eurozone. The final part is dedicated to the implementation of SEPA in the in the Slovak Republic and describes the organizational structure, division of powers, the process itself and the state of implementation.
Comparison of the payment instruments and their advantages for the corporate klient

The aim of my diploma work is to indicate the problems of cash and noncash payments. I aimed at the comparison of various types of payment instruments and domestic and foreign payment systems. I compare their advantages and disadvantages from the view of the bank and especially from the view of the corporate client. Concrete examples and recommendations are described in the part of the diploma work named Assessment of payment instruments in selected banks. I compare them among three banks - Volksbank CZ, a. s., Oberbank AG Czech Republic and Raiffeisenbank a. s.. In the diploma work I also describe actual trends and new possibilities of using payment cards and direct banking.
